My family had planned for the family-trip for a long time. I could not wait for the day to come. Finally, it was the day. On that day, we all got up early and were ready for the wonderful trip. My dad was humming his favorite song and he loaded luggage onto the car. My whole family set off with a pleasant mood.

To our surprise, there was a traffic jam on the highway, so we moved very slowly. Mom said that because of the good weather and long holidays, everyone wanted to take a trip. Dad said that we should have checked the traffic situation earlier. While Dad and Mom were talking, I checked Google Map and found we would be stuck for more than ten miles. I suggested that we take an alternative way. Dad took my advice and drove to the other way to get to our destination.

Unfortunately, when we arrived there--the newly-opened amusement park. There were a lot of people waiting outside for the tickets. It seemed that there was no way to get in. Dad saw the disappointment on my face. He, immediately, said that he knew another fun place to go, where we could eat and play board games together. Mom said it was a good restaurant to visit and there might not be so many people due to the good weather. Most people might prefer to stay outside, enjoying a beautiful day.

The restaurant was located in a quiet place with beautiful scenery and farm animals running around. The restaurant provided delicious meals and interesting board games suitable for any age. My family spent half day there playing board games in the restaurant, watching and feeding those farm animals in the yard. Not able to visit the newly-opened museum, we still have a nice family day.
